The deal, in plain terms.

By using Signal you agree to these terms. If you do not, please do not use the service. You must be at least 16 to create an account, and you are responsible for what happens under it. Keep your sign-in method secure and tell us if you think it has been exposed.

This is the most important thing on this page. Summaries, categories, importance assessments, confidence ratings, and “why it matters” notes may include AI-generated material. Models screen source articles and produce story profiles and editorial building blocks; code checks grounding, applies publication rules, and selects and orders editions. Personalization uses your preferences and exclusions, and edition history helps avoid repeats. These checks are not independent verification of every source claim. Language models misread, overstate, conflate separate events, and occasionally invent detail that was never in the source.

Signal is a way to find things worth reading. It is not a substitute for reading them. Every story links to its original source, and the original source is what counts. Do not rely on a Signal summary for any decision that matters, whether financial, legal, medical, professional, or otherwise, without reading and verifying the original.

Nothing on Signal is financial, legal, investment, or professional advice of any kind.

Signal indexes and summarizes publicly available material, including company blogs, research preprints, news reports, forum posts, and videos. That material belongs to whoever published it, and their terms govern it. We link to originals rather than reproducing them, we quote only briefly, and we make no claim to their copyright.

Including a source is not an endorsement. Ranking and selection reflect relevance, significance, freshness, and evidence context, not a guarantee that a reported claim is true. First-party announcements and preliminary or unverified evidence are attributed and labelled where applicable. If you own material that you believe is being used improperly here, contact us and we will remove it.

• Scrape, bulk-download, or resell Signal's content or summaries.
• Attempt to bypass rate limits, authentication, or access other users' data.
• Use Signal to build a competing aggregation product from our editorial output.
• Probe, disrupt, or overload the service or its infrastructure.

We may suspend or close accounts that do these things, or that we reasonably believe are being used to harm the service or other readers.

Your saved items and preferences are yours. You can delete your account at any time by contacting us, and we will remove it and everything attached to it. We may close accounts that go unused for an extended period, and we will email you first if we intend to.

The public newsletter is currently free to read on the web. Editions may be shorter or unavailable when qualifying coverage is limited; we do not guarantee a fixed story count. Browse is available in the full-site version, and some linked features may be marked as in build. Newsletter email delivery and payments are currently paused. Creating an account does not itself subscribe you to newsletter email.

If paid billing is enabled and you choose to purchase Pro, it is a recurring digital subscription. The price, currency, billing interval, taxes, and renewal terms shown in hosted checkout are the terms for that purchase. Payment is processed by Razorpay; access is activated only after signed confirmation from the provider. You authorize recurring charges until cancellation. Subscription cancellation remains available from Account Billing while a subscription is active.

Signal is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that it will be available without interruption, that the pipeline will run on any given day, that any particular story will be covered, or that anything you read here is accurate or complete. Features may change or be withdrawn.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of Signal, including anything that follows from relying on a summary. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply only as far as permitted.

We may update these terms. Material changes will be noted on this page with a new date at the top, and continuing to use Signal after a change means you accept it.
